A Quick Rundown Of Nissan’s Updates On Their 2022 Car Lineup

A Quick Rundown Of Nissan’s Updates On Their 2022 Car Lineup

While headlines will definitely focus on Nissan’s new model for its already old 370Z vehicle, this doesn’t mean that the other models Nissan has to offer don’t get any changes. Sure, the new Z sure is exciting, but the fact that the Z isn’t the only vehicle people are buying.

That being said, the Versa, Sentra, Altima, and more are all getting changes for their 2022 models. If you’re interested to know what these updates are, keep on reading:

The 2022 Sentra

For the 2022 model, Nissan has expanded their options with Sentra. In other words, there’s more variety to work with now. For example, the Sentra SV comes with an all-weather package that includes LED headlights, foglights, etc. On the other hand, the Sentra SR will get a midnight edition package, where the vehicle will come with black wheels, badges, and more.

The 2022 Altima

The midsize Altima sedan, much like the Sentra, also gets some expansion of choices customers can get when they buy an Altima. For instance, heated side mirrors with integrated LED signals are now included in the premium package for the SV version. As for the Altima SR, it also gets a midnight edition treatment like the Sentra has, all of which offers the Altima a blacked-out treatment.

The 2022 Leaf

The new Nissan Leaf now comes with a CHAdeMO quick-charge port along with a portable 240-volt charging cable. On the SV Plus model, the Leaf also comes with a 360-degree camera and ProPilot Assist to allow for semi-autonomous driving.

A great addition, or should we say, subtraction, to the new Leaf is the fact that the vehicle will be much cheaper. The SL Plus, in particular, is getting the biggest price cut of them all, going as high as six thousand dollars and more.

The 2022 Versa

While the new Versa was recently updated back in 2020, there are no major changes for the 2022 Versa, as Nissan themselves has stated. Generally, though, it just offers a better exterior design, better power, and more standardized driver-assist technology.

The 2022 Maxima

For full-size sedan lovers, the new Maxima is almost identical to its 2021 version. The only real difference here is on the Maxima Platinum, where the rear seats get a heating feature.

The 2022 GT-R

The GT-R hasn’t really gotten any new updates for 2022, nor has any information been released by Nissan about it. Rather, there was a mid-year model update back in 2021 for the car. However, if you’re looking for a new GT-R, the GT-R NISMO Special Edition can offer something new.

The 2023 Z

Finally, as for the 2022 Z, the first Z-car that Nissan has created that doesn’t have a number, there’s a lot to be uncovered. Under the hood, you find the 400-hp 3.0-litre turbocharged V-6 engine. The coup chassis is also the version used in some INFINITI vehicles and the one that is found under the 370Z.

As with transmissions, buyers can choose from a six-speed manual to a nine-speed automatic. Other things include customizable displays, heated seats, and an eight-speaker Bose sound system.

Perhaps its most obvious change is its new exterior design, where things look more rectangular and long. Of course, it may look out of place and even ugly to some, but given time, we’re sure it’ll grow on you.

Conclusion

All in all, there’s much to be loved with the new 2022 models. Of course, the real question would be if you should upgrade. If you’ve recently bought a car, such as a 2021 or even a 2020 model, you won’t miss out on a lot by not buying the 2022 versions. However, if your car is fairly old—let’s say ten years or more—you can definitely consider buying a new model. Regardless, all of these changes are there to improve your driving experience, so should you want to get a brand-new Nissan 2022 car, you can’t go wrong!
